E6750

The second sample wasn't as attractive, but will get a lot more customers. It runs at the same clock speed as the E6700, but with higher FSB rating. There is one downside to this, and it's the fact that the multiplier is locked at 8, instead 10 in case of E6700. Take a look at the specifications:
- CPU Speed: 2.66 GHz
- Bus Speed: 1333 MHz
- Bus/Core Ratio: 8
- L2 Cache Size: 4 MB
- Manufacturing Technology: 65 nm
- Core Stepping: G0
- Thermal Design Power: 65W
- Thermal Specification: 72°C
- Core Voltage: 0.962V-1.350V

The most interesting aspect of this processor was the fact that it can be compared to the E6700. This comparison shows the benefits of a faster FSB in memory tests. +nothe thing of interest to us was it's overclocking potential. We were pleased to see this cpu working stable at 4GHz (500x8). Nothing over 5000 was possible, but we were never able to get 500 on this board, so there is some improvement there too. We used 4-4-4 latencies up to 1000MHz memory speed, and afterwards we went with 5-5-5.
