Let us take you to results we got from the card at various (real) frequencies - in 3dMark and a couple of games with today's standard gaming selection, 1920x1200 with 8xAA/16xAF. This is one of the most popular modes out there so we just gave it a shot...

Clearly, our own OC is faster in almost all of the tests except for the "Splinter Cell hiccup", which is kind of strange. Ah well, we're always looking for the perfect score...

We can see that the best method is to overclock both the GPU and the memory step-by-step, even if together they can?t reach their individual peaks. We can also see that raising the memory to its limit is more rewarding than raising the GPU clock all the way. So, next time you see a factory overclocked card, check to see what the actual clock you will be buying is, because it can be over 10 MHz lower than the manufacturer claims. Now let's go back to the factory-overclocked card, Point of View 8800GTX XO.
