Once again, HD2900XT and CrossFire, this time coupled with one pretty rare CrossFire-compatible motherboard with 965 chipset. We were among the first to try this DFI board at CeBIT this year and we found it to be an interesting product. You can read about it here. And this was actually the first time we tested a Club3D AMD-based solution. The DFI board we tested then was not a finished product so we decided to give it another look now that it?s out on the market. Based on our previous experience with this board we decided it?s a keeper and went to the local store and bought one. To our pleasant surprise, it costs about half the price of an EVGA 680i board.
We didn?t notice any difference in the features or the layout of this board in comparison to the one we tested on CeBIT, so we won?t go into great detail on that. You can read all about it in our previous take at this board. It is clear that this board was supposed to be a LanParty so we decided to give her a LanParty treatment.

The following components were used for testing:
- Intel Core2 Duo E6700
- Intel Core2 Extreme QX6700
- OCZ PC8500 SLI-Ready 2x1GB
- OCZ PowerXstream 1000W
- OCZ GeForce 8800GTX
- 2xClub3D Radeon HD2900XT (CrossFire testing)
- CoolIT Systems Freezone CPU Cooler
- WD RaptorX 150GB

As you can see on the picture below, we added an extra fan over the NorthBridge. This was necessary since we used water cooling, there was no air flow over the passively cooled NorthBridge.
