We're a month or so away from "appearance" of AMD's mainstream HD2600/2400 cards. So, in our good ol' tradition, we decided to check out some stuff related and publish some scores. But first, head out to YouTube to see a short
clip we made with HD2400. The clip "subject" is doing audio-via-HDMI. We received a lot of questions and feedback from our readers on the HD2900XT subject and some of those were directly related to audio and the infamous pass-through that was mentioned "behind the scenes". Well, check it out yourself to make sure that this card can do audio without anything else.
First thing, let's check out how does the whole driver-install-process look like. Well, it's pretty simple. First, Windows give you the "I don't know what you installed in the computer"-look with yellow thingys in device manager:

Then, when you start installing drivers, you get the "Oh, thank you for drivers, I know
which card is this"-look:

And, of course, in the end, you have a happy device manager with additional "sound chip" clearly visible:

Pretty easy, huh?
