Our test system:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+
OCZ Platinum Revision 2, PC-3200, 2x512 MB
OCZ Powerstream 520W
Western Digital Raptor 36 GB
The first set of test shows us that without AA and AF options turned on, Crossfire runs into CPU limitations all over, except in F.E.A.R. and Riddick, which are more demanding on the GPU. The SLI of 7900GTX cards is faster, but you have to take into consideration that the motherboard for SLI is different, the DFI Lanparty NF4 SLI-DR.
