EVGA 7950GX2 The Black Pearl - Testing and setup

We used our standard testbed:
ASUS A8N32 SLI Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 FX-60
OCZ Platinum Rev. 2, 2x512 MB
Western Digital RaptorX 150 GB
OCZ GameXstream 700W

We benchmarked with two settings, one was wit no AA and no AF, and the other with 8xAA and 16x AF. he temperature of the card remains almost the same when under load. We recorded 41 degrees in idle, and 47 degrees under load (30 minutes), which is far from an air cooled 7950GX2, that reaches up to 73 degrees under load. The water temperature in the system rose up to 38,4 degrees, as reported by the CoolerMaster Aquagate. We must point out that while the GPU and memory are being cooled very efficiently, the rest of the card receives almost no cooling, which can be a problem in a poorly ventilated chassis.
