Another day, another GPU review. This time around the contestants are three high-end cards, two with chips from Nvidia and one from ATI/AMD. We have a two-GPU 7950 GX2 from EVGA, a ?normal? 7950 GT from Leadtek, and a Radeon X1950 XT from Sapphire. Interested to find out how they compare? Be sure to stay with us...

We have used our standard testbed for the purposes of this article, consisting of the following:

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6700
RAM - OCZ Platinum XTC PC2 8000 @ DDR2-800, 4-4-4-12
MBO ? Asus P5B Deluxe
HDD - Western Digital RaptorX 150GB
PSU - OCZ PowerStream 600W

We?ve also used our usual gaming benchmark suite, although we have recently made some minor modifications with regards to the settings. Unless noted otherwise, all games are run at the maximum adjustable visual settings, with HDR on and SM 3.0 (if available). All AA and AF modes were forced through the drivers. High Quality texturing was selected in ForceWare drivers, and Catalyst AI disabled for ATI drivers.
We have provided test results from the 7600 review for comparison purposes, as they were run on an identical testbed under the same conditions.
