EVGA 680LT motherboard review
- Testing setup

Let's cut down to the chase and tell you one thing that we mind a little bit, and that's just a tiny bit of noise from the cooling solution. We actually saw/heard quite a few reports that this motherboard is really noisy but we wouldn't go that far. Yes, it's noisy, but, to tell you the truth, up to a point - so is 680i. When you do some overclocking, connect two 8800GTX's in SLI and "drive" the system a little bit, the NB cooler can get quite noisy there as well. The cooling solution is a bit different then on 680i motherboard but bare in mind that this is actually a $200/?200-class motherboard so you gotta have some compromise there.
We used our standard testing setup for this review:
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6700
- Zalman CNPS9700 LED
- OCZ PC2-8500 NVIDIA SLI-Ready
- OCZ GameXstream 850W
- WD RaptorX 150GB
- ASUS EN7900GTX
