Although there's a built-in Ethernet connection (10/100 Mbit/s), if you want to use it to connect your desktop PC to Q1, don't waste your time connecting the cables. With Q1, you get USB over Ethernet cable that - so to say - works like crazy. Awesome speed, zero problems, and Apple-like feeling when you touch it (the cable). Wireless and Bluetooth also work without any problems, as the built-in VGA port does.

Multimedia capabilities
Let's take a look at Q1's multimedia capabilities. This is probably the main "other" reason to buy this kind of device. So, watching videos, DivX movies, DVD's (with external DVD), or listening to MP3's it is. Let me just start by pointing that the screen and sound quality of this thing absolutely rocks, especially for this kind of usage. For its price, I'd buy it only for that. Now what I'd like to see inside for this thing to be absolutely out of this world is a built-in TV-tuner (analog/DVB-T). Just turn on the TruSurround XT, SRS (50% width), Focus (just below 50%), and TruBass (effect up to 70%, size up to 30%). It took me approximately 12 hours to write this review. You know why? I just couldn't restrain myself from looking at five different DVD's (Dream Theater's Score, Eros Ramazzotti's Live in Roma }2005, Diana Krall's Live in Paris, Phil Collins's First Farewell Tour DVD and Eric Clapton's Unplugged DVD) while doing it. The sound gave me chills. And while I was at it, I just watched Genesis - The Way We Walk concert. I don't really know what sounded better, "Invisible Touch", "Tears In Heaven", "One More Night", "I Don't Know Enough About You","Amarti E' L'Immenso Per Me" or "Octavarium".

The other part of Q1 is AVS/AVS Now, Windows and standalone application used for various multimedia purposes. If you push the power button left, you're booting AVS Now, interface where you can check out your multimedia stuff. If you push it right, you're booting Windows. Very easy, huh?
