D-Link Launches Cost Effective Network Storage Enclosure for SMEs

D-Link International, suppliers of network products, has unveiled the newest member of its network storage range - the D-Link DNS-343 4-bay Network Storage Enclosure. Equipped with an OLED display and Gigabit connectivity along with scalable features, the DNS-343 addresses small-to-medium enterprise users’ ever-growing data storage demands for multimedia and large data files. SMEs’ need for data consolidation and data sharing make this enclosure, a secure and easy-to-install solution for storing and accessing documents across the network and over the Internet.

Cost effective network storage solution
With the capability to support up to four internal SATA drives of any capacity, the DNS-343 enables consumers and SMEs to create a central network point for their home or office network, as well as for backing up valuable files. With built-in RAID 1 and RAID 5 support, files are protected from device failure, while a built-in FTP server allows users to easily access stored files via the Internet. A built-in USB port enables printer support, while an integrated UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) AV server streams music, photos and videos to compatible media players. Power management features conserve energy and extend hard drive life while a USB print server port rounds up the package.

Unique OLED for instant display of device status
With an aluminum chassis and built-in fans, overheating in the DNS-343 is prevented. There is a unique OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display which enables the user to monitor system information such as IP addresses, hard drive statistics, the temperature, RAID and server status without having to log into the Web user interface, providing vital information in one single glance.

The D-Link DNS-343 is available through authorized retailers, reseller, and distribution partners at a recommended retail price of S$699.
