Coolermaster Media 280 review

It's been quite awhile since we tested any Coolermaster product. Although we have to be quite honest and say that we're huge Stacker fans (who isn't?), we were pretty psyched with the possibility to try something completely different - something that we could call a multifunctional chasis. You can have this case as a desktop conveniently placed on your desk or as a midi-tower, nicely placed under your desktop, and it's up to you to decide which one suits you better.

The way this case is designed is pretty neat - you can have just about everything in it. Let's start with the though of having one ultimate gaming rig in this case. I kind of had two 8800GTX's lyin' around doin' nothin' and went for it. That was easy - they fit, and it has just enough space to hack it. The same thing applies to Crossfire setup - it fits without a problem - 2900XT's are shorter then 8800GTX (actually, 8800GTS "format"), so they can be inside a case without a problem. It might get very hot, but they fit. Of course, this case comes without a power-supply, which I consider to be a pretty smart thing, because God only knows what will a potential buyer put inside, and there's no winner there - if you bundle it with a high-end PSU, you're increasing costs and you might have a buyer that only wants a regular office PC and vice-versa. So, PSU choice is left to the user.
