We started our roundtrip of Edimax products a little while ago so - now it's time to bring something new. Although Edimax might not be the most talked-about company in the world, they can really amaze you with their excellent and yet cheap product. For intro purposes only - we can tell you that this device is just like that. But, if you want to find out more, keep reading...
In esence, this device appears to be "just another" wireless access point. Well, guess what - it's not. We won't bore you with that usual "Username:Admin, Password:1234, 12V/0.5A adapter" routine, but tell you what's under the mask. You can find out just about everything else here and here.
First, the setup is extremely easy. Just point your web browser to default IP adress (192.168.2.1), type in Username and Password and you're there. The interface is very straightforward - a couple of menus on the left side (Home, Basic/Advanced Setting etc.) and you'll get the hang of them in a matter of minutes. But it's later when you try some advanced stuff when you learn to appericiate Edimax's work on this device. One of them is WDS mode, and the other is AP Client mode
