- Testing and Conclusion

But it's not until you crank these beauties up, then you can get the overall feeling what they're all about. Now I'm not talkihg about values close to 10/10, but from let's say 30-80% you have a very, very good sound. Personally I'd like a little bit more bass, but that's mostly attainable via sound card's controls, and mids are just a tiny bit too loud. High freqencies are really good.
The box and specs say: 20W for the subwoofer, and 5W for sattelite speakers. I gotta admit that's one of the "loudest 20/5W" that I've heard in a long, long time. When you take the volume over 80%, your room begins to shake. And after that, sound gets distorted. But at 80%, you really can't be in a same room with these speakers. The room where these speakers were tested is 3.5mx5m, so it has approximately 18m2.
Conclusion
I tried these speakers with Phil Collins' latest DVD (Last Farewell Tour), music from Steve Vai, Jarre, loads of various MP3's, and a couple of games (driving simulations)in the past couple of days. I also watched a couple of movies on DVD and came to the same conclusion - this system sounds very, very good. I'd definately recommend it to anyone who doesn't want the unnecessary fuss with 5.1 speakers and cables, and yet wants to have some speaker separation usually impossible to get from stereo system. Just be sure to put at least 1m of space between the subwoofer and sattelite speakers. And after that, enjoy!
