Today we take a look at the Stacker 830 from CoolerMaster, which is their most prestigious model, and a successor to a very popular original Stacker case. The first Stacker case was a very popular choice for enthusiasts, since it offered excellent cooling and modularity. It only had 5.25?? drive bays, but all of them could be turned into 3.5?? via a 4 in 3 HDD module. The other significant feature was the dual PSU support, but probably the most significant at the time was the BTX support. The package contained everything you needed to build a BTX case. As we will see in this review, some things are added on the new model, but some are missing.
Immediately after you take this large case out of its shipping box, you will see one major difference to the previous model. The new 830 has a door. We will not go into the usefulness of this particular feature, since many people don?t like having a door on the chassis. For them, we can say that the Stacker door can be taken down in one easy step, since the retaining mechanism is supported by a spring. While taking the case out, you will notice that it is very light, since it is made of aluminum. There are several plastic and steel parts, but we can say that this is an aluminum case.
