Conclusion
We can see that the temperature of the card rose by 7 degrees when compared to the stock cooler, which would indicate that the VF900 is less efficient than the stock cooler. But when we consider the noise level and the fact that the achieved frequencies were the same or better with the VF900, we can say that it can replace the ATI stock cooler as well.
The only negative thing we could find was the price, which is around 40 dollars, or 35 euros in Europe. There is surely no point in putting this cooler on a 100 euro card, but when you have high end cards like the 79xx series, or ATI?s X1900 series, it can provide better and more importantly quieter cooling for your card. And if you plan to overclock your card, or you have a factory overclocked card, the reasons for buying this model grow with each MHz you want to achieve.
